Lions Skin Cancer Screening

The District Skin Screening unit was hosted by the Lions Club of Diamond Valley over the weekend of November 11/12th, community support was provided the Bendigo Bank and Allwood Neighborhood House. The unit was so popular that a waiting list was established, a number of clients were refereed on to medical advice.

The Districts of Lions International in Victoria and Southern New South Wales have identified a distinct need for a mobile skin cancer check and awareness unit to operate across Victoria and, in particular, in remote areas and towns and centres not serviced, or fully serviced, by dermatologists or other skin specialists.
